NORFOLK, Va. – A portion of the 2024-25 Old Dominion men’s basketball non-conference slate was announced as tournament organizers released the pairings for the Cayman Islands Classic on Tuesday morning.
Old Dominion will face Boston College in the 7:30 p.m. EST game on November 24 at John Gray Gymnasium in George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands to wrap up day one of the three-day event. This is the first appearance for ODU in the Cayman Islands Classic and a first meeting against Boston College.
“We are very excited to be participating in the Cayman Islands Classic,” said ODU Head Coach Mike Jones. “The competition will be a great measuring stick for us as we continue to build and prepare for Sun Belt Conference play. It also provides our student-athletes with a tremendous opportunity to build lifelong bonds while enjoying the hospitality that the Caymans are known for.”
Day one of the event begins with Hampton meeting Boise State at 11 a.m. EST on Sunday, Nov. 24. The second game of the opening session will feature South Dakota State against Duquesne at 1:30 p.m. The evening session begins with Missouri State challenging High Point at 5 p.m., prior to the ODU-Boston College matchup.
Their second game will be against either Missouri State or High Point on Monday, Nov. 25 with the tournament concluding on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
