CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced its 2023-24 All-American Scholar Team on Monday and representing the Monarchs were Sarah Mardani, Leiu Yuenyong and Puneet Bajwa.

The three Monarchs are among 1,497 women's collegiate golfers from 412 programs across the country to be named to the team.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team includes: earning a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, being an amateur and on the team’s roster through the conclusion of the team’s season, and playing in 50 percent of the program’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team’s conference championship.

This marks the first time that Mardani and Bajwa have earned a spot on the team, while it is the fourth time for Yuenyong, who was named an All-American Scholar three consecutive years while at Elon.

About the Women's Golf Coaches Association

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, formerly known as the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA), was founded in 1983 as a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 750 coaches in NCAA Division I, II & III as well as NAIA and NJCAA programs.
