BOSTON – Old Dominion University Women’s Sailing finished in 14th place at the eastern semifinals on Tuesday in Boston.
Due to a lack of wind, just five races were sailed on the day. The Division A team of Elizabeth Gildea and Cadence Goodnight earned a 12th place finish. They had one top five race on the day, which was a win.
The Division B team of Gianna Dewey, Megan Geith, Allison Volk and Lindsey Kauffman came in 13th place. They had a pair of top-10 finishes, with a best finish of ninth.
The Monarchs did not qualify for the national finals. The coed team will begin competing in the semifinals on May 24, also in Boston.
