NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men’s golf has added two more future Monarchs to the program in James Page and Joseph MacPherson. The pair will join the team for the 2024-25 season along with fellow ODU commits, Jakob Sutor and Garret Cameron.

James Page | Hampton, England | Hampton School
Page finished third on the British Junior Golf Tour last season and made a hole in one during a tournament. He was also the individual medalist at Mannings Heath, where he battled heavy rain and wind.

"James has dedicated himself to golf and has shown impressive improvement in a short amount of time,” said ODU Associate Head Coach Barry Marple. “He will be a great Monarch and a great addition to the roster.”

“It’s an honor to get the opportunity to play at ODU and I look forward to working hard and helping the team win whenever I can,” said Page.

Joseph MacPherson | Aberlady, Scotland | North Berwick High School
MacPherson competed in the R&A British Boys Championship Qualifier and was the winner of the Winternational Series event at Pinehurst. He posted a third-place finish in the Scottish Junior Tour event at Arbroath Links and recorded a seven-under par 62 in his club’s championship qualifier.

"Joe knows how to shoot low scores and win golf tournaments. We were lucky to find him," Marple said of MacPherson.

“I am very excited to be joining the golf team at Old Dominion. I’m really looking forward to being able to progress my golf game under the guidance of Coaches Rudisill and Marple. This has been a goal of mine to play college golf for some time and I am very grateful for the opportunity to become a Monarch. I can’t wait to get started,” said MacPherson.
