Lacrosse Falls to Vanderbilt, 9-5

NORFOLK, Va. – Emma Arnold scored two goals but Vanderbilt outscored Old Dominion Women's Lacrosse 8-3 after the first period to put together a 9-5 win on Saturday afternoon at the LR Hill Sports Complex.
 
After Vanderbilt's (7-5) Molly Krestinski scored first, Old Dominion (3-10) scored three-straight as Lilly Siskind, Sydney Taylor and Emma Rowland gave ODU a 3-1 lead.
 
The Commodores notched four-straight goals to take a 5-3 lead late in the second period. Arnold scored her first of the game less than five minutes remaining in the half but Cate Bradley added another tally to give Vandy a 6-4 halftime advantage.
 
Kemper Robinson scored the only goal of the third period and Molly Finlay scored two goals to give the Commodores a 9-4 lead. Arnold scored her second goal of the game with 40 seconds left for the final score.
 
Jenna Peccia played more than 59 minutes in goal, making eight saves for the Monarchs.
 
The Monarchs are back in action on Wednesday, April 10 at Virginia Tech at 1 p.m.
