PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Old Dominion Women's Lacrosse team fell to Temple on Saturday at Howarth Field by a final score of 12-5. Lilly Siskind and Emma Rowland each scored two goals in the loss.
 
Temple (8-3, 3-0 AAC) opened the scoring in the first quarter and quickly extended its lead to two goals with 10:40 to play. The Monarchs got on the board after Siskind found the back of the net and tied with at the 7:07 mark when Sydney Taylor found Rowland for a goal. ODU (3-9, 0-3 AAC) took the lead as Taylor found Siskind for her second goal of the day making it 3-2 at the end of the first. 
 
The Owls tied the game and regained the lead with a pair of goals in the second period of play before the Monarchs retied it on an Emma Arnold free position goal with 8:19 to play in the half. Temple scored with 6:19 to play and would take a 5-4 lead into the break. 
 
The third quarter was controlled by the Owls as they rattled off five goals and held ODU scoreless making into 10-4 going into the fourth. Old Dominion would try to make a comeback as Rowland found the back of the net for the second time on the day, but Temple added two more goals making it 12-5 and took the win.
 
Old Dominion is back in action on Saturday, April 6 at 12 p.m. when they host Vanderbilt at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
