Baseball Moves Back Start Time for Saturday's Game Against Charlotte

NORFOLK, Va. – With rain in the area continuing throughout the morning, Saturday's baseball game between Old Dominion and Charlotte has been moved back to a 4 p.m. start at Bud Metheny Ballpark. The game was originally scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Monarchs (5-4) and 49ers (6-4) opened their weekend series on Friday with Charlotte taking the game 4-2. Johnny Sutryk hit a three-run homer for the visitors in a game that featured 33 combined strikeouts. Kyle Edwards hit a leadoff double in the bottom of the first and Jake Ticer singled in the fifth for ODU's two hits in the game. Jay Cassady struck out nine batters in three innings of relief while allowing just one hit and Brandon Pond struck out three in two innings of work.
