NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion head men's tennis coach Dominik Mueller announced on Tuesday the signing of Adam Majchrzak as a member of the 2024-25 recruiting class.
"Adam knows what it takes to make it as a professional tennis player due to the mentorship of his brother (Kamil Majchrzak ATP highest ranking at 75) and I think he saw during his visit that we can provide him the best opportunities to accomplish the same with his tennis career. He is an outstanding human being and checks all the boxes we are looking for in a recruit: Tall, hungry, eager to learn and improve with a big game. We can't wait to start working with him in the fall," said Mueller.
Majchrzak is from Lódz, Poland and is ranked fourth in the Polish Juniors. He represented Poland in the European Team Championships in 2023 and has won a pair of ITF Junior titles including one in June 2023 in Michalowek. He also has a runner-up finish on the hard courts at an ITF event in Krakow in August 2023.
"I have chosen ODU because of great people, their knowledge and a special atmosphere they provide. I feel I can improve a lot not only as a tennis player, but also as a human being," said Majchrzak.
He joins Jean Karim (JK) Olivier de Sardan as part of the 2024-25 recruiting class.
