NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion volleyball players Myah Conway and LeeAnne Lowery are headed to Colorado Springs, Colorado to take part in the Women's National Team Open Program (WNTOP) this weekend.

The program will be held Feb. 23-25 at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center and is open to current and recently graduated college-age athletes born between 1999-2005. WNTOP is used for consideration for selection to both the U.S. National Team as well as the Women's Collegiate National Team.

"It is an honor to send Myah and LeeAnne to the USA Women's National Team Open Program," said ODU head coach Fred Chao, who will be accompanying the pair on the trip and will serve as one of the evaluators for the program.

"Each time Myah has come back from the experience a more mature and driven player. It is a tough process to earn selection to any of the National Team programs, and I believe Myah is developing into a player to watch.

"LeeAnne's progress as a player has been rapid and she is ready to measure herself against some of the best in the country. I have no doubt that she, like Myah, will grow considerably from her time with Coach Kiraly and the USA Staff."

This will be the third straight year that Conway will participate in the program and the first for Lowery.

"I'm very excited and grateful to be going to the USA National Team Open Program again for a chance to compete with and get coached by some of the best," said Conway. "This program is a perfect opportunity to get exposed to the type of speed and power I need to improve my game. I'm also looking forward to sharing this experience with LeeAnne and gaining some knowledge that we can bring back to the team!"

"I'm truly appreciative for the opportunity to learn alongside elite players in collegiate volleyball," added Lowery. "My determination and effort has been key in surmounting my injury. It's a rewarding moment that reflects my commitment, and I cannot wait to share this experience with my team at ODU!"

In 2024, members of the National Team will compete in the Volleyball Nations League, Pan American Cup, NORCECA Continental Championships and potentially the Pan American Games. Additionally, athletes born in 2005 or younger may also be considered for the U21 National Team that will compete in the 2024 NORCECA U21 Continental Championship.

The 2024 U.S. Collegiate National Team will train in Anaheim, California alongside the U.S. National Team athletes and staff.
