Women's Tennis Announces 2023 Fall Schedule

NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion head coach Dominic Manilla and the women's tennis program announced its 2023 Fall Schedule on Thursday with four traditional tournaments and four visits to International Tennis Federation (ITF) events.
 
The season begins on September 15-17 in the same place the 2023 spring season ended. ODU will compete at the Kitty Harrison Invitational hosted by North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Two weeks later, ODU will compete in the ITA All-American Championships from September 30 – October 8 in Cary, North Carolina.
 
October will have the Monarchs heading to Lynchburg for the ITA Atlantic Regionals from October 19-23. If anyone were to qualify for the ITA Fall Nationals, that will be from November 1-5 in San Diego.
 
"We have an exciting group of players this season. We are anxious to become one of the best teams ODU has produced and welcome the high expectations, traditions, and standard," Manilla said.
 
ODU will also have players competing this fall in several ITF pro events starting with one in Hilton Head Island, S.C. from September 25 to October 1. Early October will have ODU visit Redding, Calif. For an event October 2-8 and then Florence, S.C. from October 9-16. This portion of the schedule concludes October 30 – November 5 in an event in Norman, Okla.
 
"Having a professional tennis career is important to our players during their college experience. We want our players to feel like ODU is a professional training center," Manilla added.
