NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion men's golf will be making a number of trips to North Carolina in the upcoming months as head coach Murray Rudisill announced the team's 2023 fall schedule on Friday. The team has four tournaments on its docket this fall, to include hosting the 13th Annual ODU/OBX Intercollegiate.
"We have two new tournaments this fall. We will be going back to Davidson's tournament a week earlier this year and then have a new event at East Carolina. Our third event of the fall will be a new one hosted by Elon, and we will finish with our traditional 'home' tournament on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in October," said Rudisill.
The Monarchs begin their fall slate at Davidson's River Run Collegiate on Sept. 11-12. The team will then have a couple weeks to prepare for the Ironwood Classic, hosted by ECU at Ironwood Golf and Country Club in Greenville on Oct. 2-3. Elon's Phoenix Invitational will be played at Alamance Country Club in Burlington on Oct. 16-17, and the Monarchs will then host their annual ODU/OBX Intercollegiate on Oct. 22-24 at Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powells Point.
"It is another good schedule for us," added Rudisill. "It's interesting to note that all four events will be held in North Carolina this fall."
