NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Sailing has qualified for the College Sailing Women's and Open Fleet Race National Championships. The Women's Fleet Race National Championship on May 23-26, 2023 and The Open Fleet Race National Championship on May 30-June 2, 2023 will be hosted by the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
The women's squad ranks No. 25 and received an at-large berth to the national championships. The Monarchs are ranked No. 15 heading into the Open Fleet National Championship and also received an at-large bid.
ODU hosted the America Trophy Conference Championship Regatta last weekend and finished in seventh place.
