MANAKAWKIN, N.J. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced the 2023 Senior Team on Wednesday. Marlon de Bruijne was the lone Monarch to be named to the team.
de Bruijne was a First Team All-BIG EAST Conference member and was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team after the Monarchs defeated Liberty in the BIG EAST Championship. She led the Monarchs offensively with a career-high 42 points and 18 goals and added six assists. She was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week four times over the season. de Bruijne was a key part of the Monarchs' 12 game-winning streak that was snapped in a 3-0 loss to #4 Maryland in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
de Bruijne is the second Monarch in as many years to make the Senior Team Game as Courtney Lynch represented the Monarchs last year.
