NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's basketball home game versus Georgia State on Jan. 27, originally scheduled for a 2 p.m. start, has been moved up to 1 p.m.
The Monarchs hosted Christopher Newport University for an exhibition this past Friday, defeating the Captains 65-48 as Simone Cunningham recorded a 12-point, 17-rebound double-double and En'Dya Buford scored 14 points.
ODU opens its season next Monday, Nov. 6 as the Monarchs welcome Lincoln (Pa.) for a 4 p.m. tip at Chartway Arena. The game marks a doubleheader with the ODU men's team, who will host Virginia Wesleyan at 7 p.m.
Both game tickets will be honored. Once the men's game starts, women's fans who would like to stay will move to Section 108. Men's fans who want to attend the women's game will sit in Section 108 until the men's game starts.
