NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's soccer team plays their penultimate home match of the season on Sunday night as they host Georgia Southern at 6 p.m for Bark At The Park Night.
 
ODU (5-3-5, 2-3-1) dropped its third match in a row on Wednesday night falling 3-1 to James Madison in Harrisonburg. Michael Eberle tallied the lone goal for the Monarchs five minutes into the contest.
 
Georgia Southern (1-7-6, 0-3-3) comes into the match after a 1-1 draw with South Carolina on Wednesday night. Jordan Illian scored the equalizer in the 72nd minute in the home match.
 
This marks the third all-time meeting as ODU leads 1-0-1. The Monarchs scored three first half goals last year en route to a 4-2 win at Georgia Southern in their first Sun Belt Conference match.
 
ABOUT ODU
Jonas Schmalbach leads the team in scoring with four goals and one assist for nine points. Karan Mandair shares the goals scored lead with Schmalbach with four and joins William Arnesen with eight points. Arnesen has three goals and two assists and is third in goals scored with Eberle.
 
Michael Statham has four shutouts now with a 1.15 goals against average and a save percentage of .773.

Mandair has matched Ryan Condotta for most penalty kicks made in a season with his fourth against Campbell. Condotta was also 4-for-4 in 2015 and both have made all five career attempts.
