Women's Tennis Starts ITA Atlantic Regionals Thursday

NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's tennis team heads to Lynchburg starting Thursday for the ITA Atlantic Regional hosted by Liberty University.
 
Singles and doubles champions in the five-day event will earn bids to the ITA Fall Nationals in San Diego, California from Nov. 1-5.
 
Two qualifying rounds of singles starts Thursday and survivors of those will advance to the main draw which begins on Friday. The tournament runs through Monday when finals are held for singles and doubles.
 
A total of 25 teams will participate in the event including: Liberty, Delaware, George Mason, Georgetown, George Washington, Howard, JMU, Loyola, Marshall, Maryland, Morgan State, Mount St. Mary's, Navy, Norfolk State, Penn State, Radford, Richmond, Saint Joseph's, Towson, VCU, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, William & Mary and Old Dominion.
