Yuliia Starodubtseva Wins Pair Of ITF Titles On Sunday

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - Former ODU women's tennis standout Yuliia Starodubtseva had her best day as a professional on Sunday as she won the singles and doubles titles at the ITF 60k Rancho Santa Fe event. This marks her fourth ITF singles crown and first doubles crown as a pro.
 
She defeated Lulu Sun 7-5, 6-3 to win the singles titles and then teamed with Makenna Jones to defeat Tatiana Prozorova and Madison Sieg 6-3, 4-6, 10-6 to win that title.
 
Coming in as the three-seed in doubles, the duo defeated Bianca Jolie Fernandez and Gabriella Price 6-2, 6-1 and then Maria Kononova and Sahaja Yamalapalli 6-2, 7-5 to advance to the semifinals. There they took down the two-seed Maria Fernanda Herazo Gonzalez and Anastasia Tikhonova 6-3, 6-3 to make the finals.
 
In singles, she was the fourth-seed and started with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Johanne Christine Svendsen and then defeated Jessie Aney 6-1, 6-2. In the quarterfinals she defeated fifth-seeded Louisa Chirico 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 and then Jiangzue Han 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinals.
