NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Sailing team wrapped up its weekend at the Nevins Trophy and Women's Atlantic Coast Tournament on Sunday. The Monarchs finished 10th out of 17 teams in the Women's Atlantic Coast Tournament and finished 14th out of 18 in the Nevins Trophy.
The division A team at the women's Atlantic coast tournament featured Elizabeth Gildea for all 14 races, Cadence Goodnight for races 1-6 and 11-14 and Megan Geith for races 7-10. The Division A team finished at 12th out of 17 with two top five finishes with the highest being first place. The division b team took 9th out of 17 teams and featured Gianna Dewey for all 14 races, Allison Volk for races 1-6 and 11-14 and Kristin Johnson for races 7-10. The division b team had three top five finishes including two first place finishes.
The division a team at the Nevins Trophy finished 15th out of 18 teams. The team featured Parker Purrington for all 14 races, Asia Acosta for races 1-2 and 7-14 and Morgan Auth for races 3-6. The teams highest finish was fourth place. The division b team featured Diogo Silva for all the races, Grace Wright for races 1-2 and 7-14 and Blake Goodwin for races 3-6. The team finished 12th out of 18 and had two top five finishes with both being second place.
Old Dominion is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 21 for the Open Atlantic Coast Championships.
