ODU Sailing Set To Compete In Nevins Trophy And Women's Atlantic Coast Tournament

NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Sailing team is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 14 and Sunday, Oct. 15 when they compete in the Women's Atlantic Coast Tournament at Brown University and the Nevins Trophy at the US Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. 
 
The Women's team will compete in the Women's Atlantic Coast Tournament that will feature Jacksonville, Rhode Island, Florida State, George Washington, Fordham, Boston, Michigan, Washington College, St. Mary's College of Maryland, Roger Williams, Hobart and William Smith, Christopher Newport, Vermont, Wisconsin and the US Merchant Marine Academy. Racing will begin Saturday at 11 a.m. and conclude Sunday at 5 p.m.

ODU will be competing against the following teams in the Nevins Trophy; Navy, Hobart and William Smith, Georgetown, SUNY Maritime, Cornell, George Washington, Fordham, St. Mary's, Kings Point, Penn, Yale, Coast Guard, Vermont, Roger Williams, UCLA and Tulane. Kings Point was the site of the 2023 Nationals where the Monarchs placed 13th in the semifinals. Racing will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday and concludes at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
