NORFOLK, Va
. – The Old Dominion men's soccer team returns home on Saturday night to host second-ranked UCF in a Sun Belt Conference matchup at 7 p.m.
 
ODU dropped its first match of the season on Saturday night in a 1-0 heartbreaker to South Carolina. The Gamecocks scored on a free kick with five seconds left to take the win.
 
UCF visits Norfolk after defeating Georgia Southern 2-0 on Saturday night. Lucca Dourado scored twice for UCF as they recorded their second straight shutout win after defeating Kentucky 1-0 on September 29.
 
The series is in favor of the Monarchs by a 2-1 count, with the Monarchs winning the last meeting 2-1 on Sept. 15, 2013. This is the first time these teams have met as conference opponents.
 
ABOUT ODU
Karan Mandair leads the Monarchs in goals scored with four and shares the points lead with William Arnesen who has three goals and two assists for eight points. Jonas Schmalbach is next with three goals and one assist for seven points, while Michael Eberle has two goals and one assist for five points.
 
Michael Statham has four shutouts now with a 0.91 goals against average and a save percentage of .811.
 
The loss to South Carolina snapped the longest unbeaten streak to start a season since 2003 when they won their first 14 matches.
 
With another tie, the Monarchs will match the Sun Belt Conference single season record for most ties with six. Three teams share that mark, including the 1990 Old Dominion Monarchs who finished 8-6-6.
 
Mandair has matched Ryan Condotta for most penalty kicks made in a season with his fourth against Campbell. Condotta was also 4-for-4 in 2015 and both have made all five career attempts.

Dourado leads UCF in goals scored (6), points (12), shots on goal (10) and shots taken (29). Saku Heiskanen is next on the team with three goals and two assists for eight points, while Emmanuel Barn is next with two goals and two assists for six points.
 
Juanvi Munoz has played in all nine matches with a 0.89 goals against average, 0.771 save percentage and three shutouts.
 
UCF is outscoring opponents 13-8 this season.
