NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Sailing team is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 7 when they will be competing in the Oyster Bowl in Saint Mary's, Maryland and the Open Atlantic Coast Championship Prelims in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Women's ACC prelims begins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and goes through Sunday at 3 p.m. ODU will be competing against Boston College, Fordham, GWU, Georgetown, Harvard, Jacksonville, Northeastern, Roger Williams, Stanford, Tulane, Coast Guard, Kings Point, Navy, Miami (Fla.), URI, Vermont and Wisconsin. The division A team will feature Rider Odom and Asia Acosta and the Division B team will feature Diogo Silva and Grace Wright with the alternates being Parker Purrington and Parker Younger.
The Oyster Bowl beings Saturday at 12:00 p.m. and goes through Sunday at 2 p. m. ODU will be sending two teams, an Open team and a Women's team. They will be competing against Charleston, Fordham, George Washington, Georgetown, St Mary's, Navy and Penn. The open Division A team will feature Tyler Brown and Isabel Kanach and the Division B team will feature Blake Goodwin and Lindsey Kaufmann. The women's Division A team will be raced by Gianna Dewey and Jean Volk while the Division B team will be raced by Olivia Gilmore and Molly Hanson.
