"Last week we didn't play as well as we wanted to and we had a good week of practice and wanted to come out and play at a different level and do the basic things well and the team responded well and played a really good game," said head coach Andrew Griffiths.
"We played some really good top 10 teams in the first half and it's been great for us because it has been able to teach us things we need to get better at. You can see some of those things coming through now. We are a bit more disciplined, moving the ball quicker and defensively more disciplined on containing the play."
"I'm really encouraged going into these next few games. The team can't settle and today's goal to get better each quarter as we have established a strong foundation and want to keep building on it," said Griffiths.
Old Dominion is back in action on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 12 p.m. when they host Hofstra at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
