NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion head men's basketball coach Jeff Jones announced on Wednesday that the Monarchs have added an exhibition game on October 25 with Virginia State, scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff.

Virginia State (17-12) finished its season with an opening round loss in the CIAA Tournament to Lincoln (Pa.). The Trojans are coached by former ODU assistant coach Lonnie Blow, with former Monarch standout Ricardo Marsh serving as one of his assistant coaches.

"With an influx of new faces on this year's team, an exhibition contest is a good way to help the guys come together in facing a different opponent," Jones said. "Besides, it's also always good to welcome back former Monarchs in this case with Lonnie Blow and Ricardo Marsh."
