NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's soccer team continues on a five-match road swing on Monday night as they visit George Mason for a 7 p.m. kick.

ODU (0-0-2) enters the contest after a 1-1 draw at UMBC last Monday. The Monarchs scored on their only corner kick of the night as Nathan Lam served the ball in and Jonas Schmalbach headed it into the net to even the match in the 78th minute.

George Mason (0-2) dropped a 1-0 decision on Thursday night at Virginia as the Cavaliers scored in the 24th minute.

This will be the 40th all-time meeting between the programs with George Mason holding a slight 19-18-2 advantage. Last year, the Monarchs used a Michael Eberle goal with 24 minutes left in the match to take a 1-0 win in the season opener.

ABOUT ODU
The Monarchs have a balanced attack with four players leading in scoring with two points apiece. Schmalbach, Eberle and Karan Mandair have scored the goals this season, with Lam assisting on two of them to account for the scoring.

Sophomore Michael Statham has recorded both draws as he has a .750 save percentage in two matches.

ABOUT GEORGE MASON
The Patriots have also played two matches thus far and dropped a 4-3 decision to UMBC before Thursday night's loss to Virginia.

George Mason, similar to ODU, has three players scoring one goal each and one with assists on all the goals. Abdul Kamara, Nicholas Prioli and Henry Wachsman each scored against UMBC, while Luis Maestre assisted on each goal.
