NORFOLK, Va. – The ODU sailing team will be competing in the Faye Bennett on Saturday, Sept. 16 and Sunday, Sept 17. ODU will also be competing in the Chesapeake Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 16. Both races will take place in Annapolis, Maryland starting at 10 a.m.
The Faye Bennett is the women's singlehanded conference championship and sailors Emma Friedauer, Gianna Dewey and Olivia Gilmore will be participating and take on individuals from Cornell, Georgetown, Hobart, St. Mary's and the Naval Academy.
The Chesapeake Invite is a doublehanded race, and ODU will be competing against Christopher Newport, Georgetown, St. Mary's, the Naval Academy and Washington College.
