NORFOLK, Va. – Fresh off a 2-0 win on Thursday night at VCU, the Old Dominion women's soccer team concludes its "City of Richmond Week" hosting the Richmond Spiders for a 6 p.m. kick Sunday.
 
It will be Pack The Park Night as fans will be admitted free in efforts to break the all-time attendance record set last season against Virginia Tech at 1,033.
 
ODU (3-0-0) is off to its best start since 2008 when they won their first five matches. In the win at VCU, Thalia Morisi took a feed from Aleigha Arndt at 36:33 to find the back of the net and a 1-0 ODU lead. In the second half, Madison Micheletti found Rhea Kijowski who slid one into the net for the eventual 2-0 final.
 
Richmond (1-1-1) enters off a tough 1-0 loss on Thursday to William & Mary on an own goal. The Spiders have defeated Longwood (1-0) and tied Nevada (0-0) as well.
 
ODU has won the last five meetings against Richmond, which came after Richmond won the previous five.
 
ABOUT ODU
Morisi and Ece Turkoglu lead the Monarchs in goals scored with two apiece. Turkoglu leads the team in points with two goals and one assist for five points, while Morisi is next with four points on her two goals.
 
Emily Bredek has recorded all three clean sheets this year for the Monarchs. She stopped six shots on Thursday night, including a penalty kick after ODU went up 2-0 to help ice the win.
 
ABOUT RICHMOND
Molly Wierman scored the lone goal for Richmond in the win over Longwood to lead the team in scoring with Hannah Antonick assisting.
 
Taylor Montague has two clean sheets and a goals against average of 0.33 in three starts.

ODU will stay in-state and visit Virginia Tech on August 31 for a 5 p.m. start in Blacksburg.
