KINGS POINT, N.Y. – The Old Dominion University Sailing team took 13th place at the College Sailing Open Western Semifinal on Wednesday.
The Division A team finished in 15th, Rider Odom was the skipper in all races for the Monarchs, while Asia Acosta competed as crew in races 7 through 10 and 13. Ethan Tutt was crew for races 11 and 12.
The Division B team finished in 12th place. Parker Purrington was the skipper for the first six races and Diogo Silva was the skipper for races 9 through 13. Grace Wright was crew for all 13 races.
Between the two teams ODU combined for 13 Top 10 finishes and two Top 5 finishes. The highest finish was third by the Division B team.
