NEW ORLEANS – The 2023 Sun Belt Conference Men's Tennis Tournament pairings were announced on Sunday night by the league office as Old Dominion will be the second-seed in the event at the Peachtree City Tennis Center in Peachtree City, Ga.

Old Dominion will have a rematch with James Madison on Thursday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. in the quarterfinals. The Monarchs defeated James Madison 5-2 on Saturday to finish 7-1 in the league. With a win, ODU will take on either Louisiana or Georgia State on Friday, April 21 in the semifinals also at 10:00 a.m. The finals are scheduled for 1 p.m on Saturday, April 22.

The Monarchs and South Alabama finished the regular season tied with 7-1 records, but with the Jaguars winning a 4-3 match on March 18 they claimed the tie-breaker.

"We are excited to get the two-seed which I think reflects on the hard work we put in during the regular season. To play someone back to back, especially in less than a week is challenging. I'm sure JMU will make some adjustments and make it difficult on us," ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller.

Each of the tournament's eight matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
