CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the third consecutive year, Old Dominion Swimmer Noah Wilkins has been named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Wilkins had a trio of top-five individual finishes at this year's CCSA Championships and helped ODU to a pair of third place finishes. He finished in second place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:36.31, fourth in the 100 free in 44.12 and fifth in the 50 free with a time of 20.18. He finished his career with one career first place finish at the CCSA Championships, in the 100 freestyle, five seconds and one third place finish.
At this year's NIC Championship, he placed seventh in the 200 freestyle and eighth in the 100 free.
Wilkins earned a 4.0 undergraduate GPA and has won the CCSA Scholar-Athlete Award two-straight seasons. He earned his degree in nuclear medicine technology and is getting his master's degree in public health and currently holds a 3.97 GPA in the master's program. Wilkins is also working as a nuclear medicine technologist. He is the President of ODU's SAAC and is also a member of the swim team's leadership council.
