NEW ORLEANS – For the third time this season, Old Dominion senior Tatsiana Sasnouskaya was named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Sasnouskaya, ranked 21st nationally, scored a 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 win over 41st-ranked Malika Ngounouoe of Kansas as ODU fell 4-3 to the then 17th-ranked Jayhawks 4-3. That made the fourth win over a nationally-ranked opponent this spring for Sasnouskaya who is now 5-3 in the spring season.
ODU (5-4) starts Sun Belt Conference action on Friday morning at Louisiana and will round out the weekend at Texas State on Sunday, with both matches starting at 11 a.m. EST.
