NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University Sailing hosted the Aaron Szambecki Team race over the weekend and placed ninth. The Monarchs also took ninth at the Hanbury Trophy.
In the Szambecki Team Race, ODU skippers were Rider Odom, Parker Purrington and Finn Ciszewski. Asia Acosta, Ethan Tutt, Katherine Barton, Grace Wright, and Diogo Silva were crew.
ODU won three races over the weekend, defeating South Florida twice and College of Charleston.
At the Hanbury Trophy, only 14 races were contested. The Division A team of Parker Younger, Kristin Johnson and Cadence Goodnight had nine top-10 finishes.
The Division B duo of Tyler Brown and Lindsey Kaufmann featured a second-place finish. Brown and Kaufmann finished top-10 in 13 out of 14 of their races.
ODU Sailing heads to the Prosser Trophy and Emily Wick on April 8-9.
