ST. MARY'S, Md. - The Old Dominion University Sailing team delivered an eighth place finish at the St. Mary's Women's Team Race and finished ninth at the Graham Hall Team Race over the weekend.
At the St. Mary's Women's Team Race only day one races were contested due to a lack of wind on Sunday. ODU won four races with wins over Penn, St. Mary's, College of Charleston, and Hobart & William. The skippers for the weekend were Elizabeth Gildea, Megan Geith, Allison Jeanne Volk, and Emma Friedauer while the crew was Isabelle Kanach, Cadence Goodnight, Lindsey Kauffman and Kristin Johnson.
At the Graham Hall Team Race hosted by Navy, the Monarchs went 2-7 with race wins over George Washington and Tufts.
The skippers for the weekend were Rider Odom, Finn Ciszewski, and Parker Purrington while the crew was Ethan Tutt, Diogo Silva, Parker Younger, Grace Wright, and Asia Acosta.
The Monarchs return to the water Mar. 18 and 19 when they travel to the SMC Open Team Race in St. Mary's, Md and the Navy Women's Fleet Race in Annapolis, Md.
