NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced its weekly Men's Tennis Awards on Wednesday afternoon and for the second week in a row, freshman Cosme Rolland De Ravel was named Player of the Week.
Rolland De Ravel, from Fontaine Les Dijon, France, had another 4-0 week for the Monarchs as they won a pair of dual matches. Against then 60th-ranked Charlotte, he took a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 win over Ivan Dreycopp at line four and paired with Francois Le Tallec to win 6-2 at line three doubles. On Sunday against 76th-ranked St. John's, he defeated Giuseppe De Camelis 6-2, 6-0 at line three, while he and Le Tallec won 6-0 at line three doubles.
On the spring, he is 7-3 in singles and 7-1 in doubles.
ODU (8-4) returns to action on March 6 in Dallas, Texas to face San Diego at Southern Methodist University. The next afternoon ODU will face the host Mustangs.
