NORFOLK, VA. – The Old Dominion Women's Lacrosse team travels to Radford on Saturday, February 18 for a game starting at noon with the Highlanders. ODU is coming off a 14-8 loss against VCU on Wednesday in a much closer game than the score indicated. A bad second quarter for the Monarchs where VCU scored six goals would give the Rams a 10-3 lead at the half and was too much to overcome in the second half.
Lilly Siskind leads ODU with five goals and Sydney Taylor trails her with four goals. Moira Olexa leads the team with three assists as well as scoring one goal. Jenna Peccia leads the team with 15 ground balls and 18 saves.
Radford is coming off a 15-5 loss to East Carolina last Friday. The Highlanders leading scorer is Linley Tirrell with two goals. Mady Cheney has recorded the one assist for Radford this year. Cameron Counts and Olivia Hunter lead the team with three ground balls.
This will mark the third game between the Highlanders and Monarchs, ODU won the first two meetings the most recent being last season 20-11.
ODU hosts William & Mary on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. in the home opener.
