Norfolk, Va.- The 13th ranked Monarchs head north for a match against Quinnipiac on Friday, Sept 23 at 1 p.m. at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Stadium.

ODU (5-2) is coming off a tough loss to now No. 9 UConn in a match that Old Dominion dominated from start to finish. Delphine Le Jeune scored the solo Monarch goal as she was assisted by Marlon de Bruijne. ODU would then fall in double overtime as UConn would score the game winner. The Monarchs outshot the Huskies 11-7 and had more penalty corners 9-2. de Bruijne leads the Monarchs in points (13) with Le Jeune and Frederique Zandbergen right behind her with 10. Zandbergen has a team high six assists.
Quinnipiac (4-3) is coming off a 1-1 weekend: the Bobcats lost their first BIG EAST conference match to Temple on Friday, 6-3 and then beat UC Davis, 3-2 on Monday. Quinnipiac is led by Stella Tegtmeier who has four goals and 10 points. Eva Veldhorst leads the Bobcats in assists with three and is second in points with nine.
Old Dominion won the last meeting with the Bobcats in 2021 by a score of 7-0.
