NORFOLK, Va. – Four former standouts and an administrative trailblazer will be inducted into the Old Dominion Sports Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2022, ODU Director of Athletics Dr. Wood Selig announced on Thursday. Terry Bell (Baseball), David Horst (Men's Soccer), TJ Jordan (Women's Basketball), Craig Wilkins (Football) and Debbie White (Administration) will receive the honor the morning of the ODU Football game against Georgia Southern on Saturday, Oct. 22 to highlight Homecoming weekend.
 
Bell was a two-time first-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection in 1982-83 and a first-team All-American in 1983 when he hit .400 with seven home runs and 63 RBIs. He was taken in the first round of the MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners and played in the Major Leagues for Kansas City and Atlanta.
 
Horst was a two-time CAA Defensive Player of the Year, three-time first-team All-CAA honoree and two-time All-Region defensive selection. He was a first round pick in the MLS Super Draft and played 10 seasons in the MLS for Real Salt Lake, Portland and Houston.
 
A sharpshooter for the women's basketball team, T.J. Jordan was a three-time All-CAA selection and twice was named the MVP of the CAA Tournament. Jordan ranks 15th in program history with 1,525 points and still holds the ODU record for career three-pointers made with 323.
 
Wilkins was the defensive leader for the Monarch football team in its first four years, helping lead the team to a pair of FCS playoff appearances and a CAA Championship in 2012. A two-time All-CAA honoree, he was an All-American in 2012. Wilkins led the squad in tackles in three seasons and still holds a handful of defensive records.
 
Debbie White spent 37 years at Old Dominion working a variety of roles in the external relations department before ultimately retiring in 2016 as senior associate athletic director for external relations. White has already been inducted into three halls of fame, the CoSIDA (Sports Information Director's of America) Hall of Fame (2017), the Hampton Roads Sports Hall of Fame (2017) and the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame (2019).
 
Doors open at 8 a.m. and the ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22 in the Priority Automotive Club at Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium. A limited amount of tickets will go on sale at a later date.
