NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team begins a two-game week with longstanding rival William & Mary visiting Chartway Arena for a 7 p.m. tip on Wednesday night.

LAST TIME OUT
Old Dominion used an 11-2 run over a nearly four-minute span late in the second half and timely free throws from Imo Essien as the Monarchs defeated Norfolk State 68-62 in front of nearly 8,000 fans on Saturday night. Chaunce Jenkins scored 14 of his game-high 23 points in the second half to lead the Monarchs. Mekhi Long added 13 points for ODU to go with three rebounds and two steals. Essien hit four free throws in the final 20 seconds to ice the win.
 
Ben Wight's follow shot with 28 seconds left on Saturday lifted William & Mary to a 58-57 win over Richmond at home. The Tribe held a 17-point halftime lead and saw the Spiders rally to take a six-point lead with 4:21 left. William & Mary outscored Richmond 9-2 from there to win.
 
SERIES HISTORY
ODU leads the all-time series 70-22 having won three of the last four meetings. The Monarchs scored an 74-59 victory over the Tribe in Williamsburg last season as Mekhi Long had 11 points and seven rebounds, while D'Angelo Stines came off the bench for a season-high 13 points going 3-of-4 from 3-point range.

With his 23-point outing against the Spartans, Jenkins has taken over the leading scorer role averaging 13.8 points per game. Mekhi Long is just off that pace at 9.7 points per game, while he leads in rebounds (7.7 rpg) and steals (13).

William & Mary is paced in scoring by Ben Wight averaging 11.6 points and is second in rebounding at 5.3 per game. Joining him in double figures is Gabe Dorsey at 10.9 points per game. Noah Collier is just off that pace at 9.7 points per contest, while he leads in rebounding at 7.7 per game.

Men's basketball season tickets cost $215 and include tickets for the Monarchs' exhibition on Nov. 2 and all 16 of ODU's regular season home games. Women's basketball season tickets cost $115 for adults and $250 for courtside seating and include tickets to all 15 of the Monarchs' home games. Season tickets represent a savings of more than $50 for men's games and $45 for women's games, over single-game tickets. Single-game tickets for regular season men's and women's basketball games will go on sale later in the month. Single-game ticket prices start at $18 for men's games and $11 for women's games, with special pricing for senior citizens, ODU faculty and staff, youth (12 and younger) and members of the military. ODU students can register for student tickets for free to any ODU men's and women's home game.
