Enneking and Wilkins to Compete in US Open Swimming Championships

NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University swimmers Tara Enneking and Noah Wilkins will compete at the Toyota US Open Swimming Championships beginning on Thursday, Dec. 1 through Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
 
Enneking will compete on Thursday in the 200 IM. A senior from Forest, Virginia, Enneking won the Conference USA Championship in the 200 IM two years ago and placed third a season ago. She placed 11th in the 200 IM last week in a loaded field at the WVU Invitational.
 
Wilkins will compete all three days, beginning with the 50 freestyle on Thursday, the 100 butterfly on Friday and the 100 freestyle on Saturday. Wilkins has won a slew of honors in his ODU career, including the CCSA 50 freestyle championship in 2020 and is a two-time CCSA Scholar-Athlete of the year.
 
The meet will begin on Thursday with the prelims at 9 a.m. and the finals at 6 p.m. and the schedule remains the same through Friday. On Thursday and Friday, the finals will air on Peacock TV and on Dec. 10 will be tape delayed at 4:30 p.m. on NBC.
 
This is the first long course event of the season and also the first event to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials. Click here for more information about the meet.
