NORFOLK, VA. – The No. 13 Old Dominion Field Hockey team hits the road for two matches this weekend. They travel to Georgetown on Friday, Oct. 7 for a matchup with the Hoyas at 1 p.m., then head to Newark, Delaware to take on the Delaware Blue Hens on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. 
 
Friday's match will be streamed on HoyaVision and Sunday's match will be broadcast on FloSports.
 
The Monarchs are coming off a 4-0 win against Villanova. Aubrey Mytych scored two goals for ODU, which was good enough to earn her BIG EAST weekly honor roll. Emily Tammaro was named BIG EAST Freshman of the week after having two assists in the match, one of her assists was a Mytych goal. Cam MacGillivray earned her second BIG EAST Defensive Player of the week as she made eight saves in the match and recorded her second shutout this season. Marlon de Bruijne leads the team in points (17) and is tied with Delphine Le Jeune for the team lead in goals (7). Frederique Zandbergen leads the team in assists with seven. MacGillivray currently ranks first in the BIG EAST and seventh in the nation in save percentage, posting a .823. 
 
The Hoyas are coming off an 0-2 weekend as they lost to Temple, 1-0 on Friday and then lost to La Salle, 4-2 on Sunday. Vivienne Trumpbour leads Georgetown in points (12) is tied for the team lead in assists with Emma van der Veen and Elena Leahy with four, and is tied for the team lead in goals (4) with Lindsay Devine. The last time ODU and Georgetown met was in 2021 when the Monarchs won the match 2-0. Old Dominion leads the all-time series, 7-1.
 
The Blue Hens are coming off a weekend sweep defeating Drexel, 2-1 on Friday and then beating Columbia, 3-1 on Sunday. Delaware is led by Noelle Sabbagh who has nine points and is tied for the team lead in goals (4) with teammate Julia Duffhius. Kiki Oudshoorn leads the team with four assists. The Monarchs and Blue Hens met was in 2021 when Delaware defeated ODU 4-0, though Old Dominion leads the all-time series 13-3-1.
