NEW YORK – The BIG EAST announced on Tuesday that Old Dominion Field Hockey swept the weekly honors. Marlon de Bruijne was named the Offensive Player of the week, Cam MacGillivray was named Defensive Player of the week, and Sanci Molkenboer was named Freshman of the week. This is the first time this year ODU has swept the weekly awards.

De Bruijne scored two goals in the weekend sweep for ODU. Her first came when she converted a penalty corner against Temple to help them win 2-0. Her second goal of the weekend came when she fired a strike into the corner of the goal to tie the game against VCU.

MacGillivray continues to be ODU's strongest point defensively only giving up one goal over the weekend and recording her fourth shutout of the year against Temple where she made five saves to keep the Owls off the board. She made an additional two saves in the win over VCU.

Molkenboer scored the game winner with just over a minute left in ODU's 2-1 comeback win over VCU. She was assisted by Emily Tammaro and slapped the ball into the back of the net. That proved to be the difference and kept the Monarchs win streak alive.
