"We had a strong effort today and walked away with knowing we can compete.  We also learned we have areas to work on, mainly adjusting together," said head coach Brian Conley. "The varsity four A boat set the tone with racing to a 6th place finish out of 40 boats in their event.  It was also so thrilling to see the freshmen/novices have their first race as a college DI athlete.
The fall races are tough mentally with the time trial format but if you can be mentally tough in practices then you can be really tough on race day in the fall.  I'm looking forward to seeing how much of that toughness we can continue to develop."

ODU is back in action Saturday, Oct. 22 when they will compete in the Head Of The Charles Regatta in Boston, Massachusetts.
