NORFOLK, VA – The Old Dominion Women's Rowing team opens up its fall schedule on Sunday, Oct. 16 with the Navy Day Regatta hosted on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia.
The Monarchs will compete in the women's 4+ and women's 8+ events. In both races, ODU will face off against 21 other schools.
The races and times go as follow:
10:04AM - Women's Collegiate 4+
10:32AM - Women's Collegiate Freshmen/Novice 8+
1:08PM - Women's Collegiate 8+
1:38PM - Women's Collegiate Freshmen/Novice 4+
This will be the first race for Brian Conley as the head coach for ODU. "I am excited for the team to race this weekend finally line up against some other college teams that include our conference competitor Temple University. The Schuylkill River was where both Coach Reifsnyder and I learned how to row and rowed thousands of miles up and down the Schuylkill. It will be great to have my first race as Head Coach on a familiar body of water with my new team that has learned so much in the past few weeks," said Conley.
