NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's soccer team will hit the road for a key Sun Belt Conference East Division matchup on Friday night as they visit Appalachian State in a 6 p.m. kick.

ODU (5-6-2, 3-2-1) currently sits in fourth place in the division with ten points, while Appalachian State (3-7-4, 2-4-0) is right behind in fifth with six points. The top five in each division will make the conference tournament in Foley, Alabama starting on October 31.

Old Dominion got two goals and one assist from Carla Morich as the Monarchs blanked Coastal Carolina 4-0 on Senior Day last Sunday. Ece Turkoglu and Emma Terefenko added goals as Emily Bredek and Kasey Perry combined for the clean sheet.

Appalachian State comes into the match having lost its last four contests including a 2-0 decision at Georgia Southern last Sunday. Izzi Wood leads the team in goals scored with four and points with eight. Shannon Studer is next with two goals and a team high two assists for six points.

This will be the second-ever meeting between the teams as they played to a scoreless draw in 2018.

Old Dominion returns home for an October 20 match against Arkansas State at 7 p.m.
