NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's basketball team released tip times for its 15 home games for the upcoming 2022-23 regular season on Thursday. Every home game during the regular season will be streamed on ESPN+, and all of the team's road conference games will be televised on an ESPN platform.

This season, most of the Monarchs' weekday home games will feature a 6:30 p.m. start. This includes ODU's non-conference meetings with William & Mary (Nov. 15), Temple (Nov. 30), and VCU (Dec. 8), as well as Sun Belt Conference games against ULM (Jan. 5), Texas State (Jan. 26), Georgia Southern (Feb. 9) and App State (Feb. 16). The exception is the team's Education Day game versus Lincoln (Pa.), which is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start.

For this year's weekend contests, six of seven games will tip off at 2 p.m. These include non-conference meetings with Coppin State (Nov. 27) and Norfolk State (Dec. 11) and league play versus South Alabama (Jan. 7), Coastal Carolina (Jan. 28), Georgia State (Feb. 11) and James Madison (Feb. 18). Additionally, ODU will host Sun Belt foe Marshall for a 4 p.m. game on Jan. 14.

ODU has also added a road game to its schedule as the Monarchs will travel to Elon, N.C. on Nov. 22 to play a 7 p.m. game at Elon University. The following month, the team will head to Tampa, Fla. to play in the inaugural Sun Coast Challenge, hosted by Pasco-Hernando State College on Dec. 19-20. After opening the tournament against Mississippi State that Monday, the Monarchs will face New Mexico on Tuesday. Both games are scheduled for 1 p.m. starts.

The Monarchs are coming off a 2021-22 season that saw the team finish 24-10 overall and advance to the second round of the WNIT. ODU also secured wins over Power 5 programs in Auburn and Texas Tech last year. Head Coach DeLisha Milton-Jones, who was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame earlier this summer, enters her third season leading the Monarchs.

ODU returns six players from last year's squad, to include three-year starter Amari Young and forward Brianna Jackson. The Monarchs also welcome eight newcomers this year, to include Makayla Dickens, a graduate transfer from Boston College who played at Princess Anne High School with Jackson.
