ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Old Dominion University Sailing placed a pair of teams in the top-10 at the Tom Curtis Memorial Regatta and the Monarchs finished in 15th at the Open Atlantic Coast Dinghy Championships over the weekend.
ODU had four teams at the Tom Curtis Regatta, as the team of Tyler Brown, Lindsey Kaufmann and Grace Wright led the way with a fourth place finish.
The trio of Diogo Silva Kristin Johnson and Asia Acosta notched a 10th place finish.
Megan Geith was the skipper on a boat featuring Wright and Kaufmann as crew, as the pair alternated with Brown. The Geith led boat placed 11th.
Parker Younger placed 18th with Acosta and Johnson as his crew. They alternated with Silva as the skipper.
At the Atlantic Coast Championships, Rider Odom and Allison Jeanne Volk placed 10th in Division A, while the Division B team of Parker Purrington, Isabelle Kanach, Finn Ciszewski and Katherine Barton finished in 15th.
ODU returns next weekend for the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship and they will also compete in the Truxtun Umsted Regatta.
