NORFOLK, Va.- Old Dominion men's soccer head coach Alan Dawson announced the additions of Aaron McNally, Michael Statham, and Nicola Missiroli on Friday.  

MEET THE NEWEST MONARCHS:

Aaron McNally 
Hometown: Ratoath County Meath, Ireland 
Position: Forward 
Previous Club: Longford Town FC 
  
Dawson on McNally: 
"We are thrilled to welcome Aaron to the Monarch Family. Aaron is a top-quality attacking player who has a lot of experience and someone we believe will be a huge impact for us on and off the field. His experience will help our young locker room and we are excited to have him." 
  
McNally on Choosing Old Dominion: 
"I chose ODU as it will not only help me develop my soccer career but also give me the opportunity to further my education and develop a career path." 
 

  
Michael Statham 
Hometown: 
Stockport, England 
Position: Goalkeeper 
Previous Club: Nottingham Forest FC 
  
Dawson on Statham: 
"We are thrilled to welcome Michael to the Monarch Family. Michael is a goalkeeper from a fantastic football background and someone we expect to have a big impact for the next four years. He is a great size and has everything we look for in a keeper and we are looking forward to getting to work with him right away." 
  
Statham on Choosing Old Dominion: 
"I chose ODU because I felt like it's a university that can assist me in achieving my goals both on and off the field. The coaches showed real interest in me and made me feel like I was wanted and hopefully I can repay the faith they put in me." 

 

Nicola Missiroli 
Hometown: Faenza, Italy 
Position: Midfield 
Previous School: Gardner-Webb 

  
Dawson on Missiroli: 
"We are thrilled to welcome Nicola to the Monarch Family. Nicola is an experienced midfielder who already has collegiate games under his belt. That experience will be important for us and we expect him to do very well for us at ODU." 
  
Missiroli on Choosing Old Dominion: 
"I chose ODU because to me it represents a great opportunity both from an athletic and an academic standpoint. ODU is a renowned university in the USA and I am very happy and proud to be a Monarch."
