FARMVILLE, Va. – Old Dominion's field hockey match today with Longwood has been cancelled due to weather. There will not be a makeup date and the game will count as a no contest.
The Lancers scored the first goal of the game on a penalty corner as Floor Schouten was assisted by Isis Vrolijks and Kolbey Donahue just seven minutes into the contest.
ODU answered back on a penalty corner of their own as Nicole Fredricks was aided by Courtney Lynch and Delphine Le Jeune with just over nine minutes left in the half.
After several delays due to lightning, the match was then called.
Old Dominion's next match will be Friday Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. against Columbia at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
