NEW YORK – Sanci Molkenboer of the Old Dominion Field Hockey team was named BIG EAST Freshman of the week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Molkenboer helped the Monarchs (6-2, 1-1) to a dominant win over Quinnipiac, 6-1 on Friday. She scored one goal for ODU to help them to the win as well as helping defensively. She has played in four matches, starting the last two. Molkenboer has one goal on four shots and has placed three-of-four on goal. This is the first honor for the freshman from the Netherlands.
Delphine Le Jeune was also named to this week's Honor Roll, she scored two goals and had one assist in the 6-1 victory over Quinnipiac.
ODU is back in action Friday, Sept 30 at 1 p.m. as they host the Villanova Wildcats and October 2 at 12 p.m. as the host Duke at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
