NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion men's soccer team heads north on Interstate 64 for its next match as they take on the VCU Rams on Tuesday night at Sports Backers Stadium. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
Old Dominion (3-2-1) enters off its 4-2 Sun Belt Conference opening win at Georgia State on Saturday night. Tristan Jenkins scored two goals and Owen Ruddy assisted on two as the Monarchs jumped out to a 4-0 advantage.
VCU (0-3-3) has tied its last three contests with draws against UNC Greensboro (2-2), Campbell (3-3) and Massachusetts (0-0). Camillo Comi leads the Rams with three goals and one assist for seven points. He has accounted for half of the goals scored by VCU in its first six matches.
The Monarchs lead the all-time series 27-11-5, though the Rams won the last meeting 2-0 on Sept. 21, 2021 at the ODU Soccer Complex.
ODU will play its first home Sun Belt Conference matchup on Sunday, Sept. 25 taking on James Madison at 12:30 p.m.
