NEW YORK – Marlon de Bruijne of the Old Dominion Field Hockey Team was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the week, the conference announced Tuesday.
de Bruijne helped lead the Monarchs (5-1) to a pair of wins over the weekend against Columbia, 3-0 and Richmond, 2-1. In the victory over Columbia de Bruijne was assisted by Jolene Ulichney to put ODU up 1-0. de Bruijne then put the game on ice as she scored her second goal extending the lead for Old Dominion to 3-0.
